The Foxglove townhouse was one of several houses in a row. It was three stories tall and out of stone. There was a fountain just outside in the street featuring statues of hydras. We stood near it and made our plans. Honeypot, looking like a farmgirl went up to the door and knocked on it. We had planned to see if the house was empty. A maid opened the door and Honeypot asked the way to a house belonging to a family she just made up. The maid didn't know of course, so she thanked her and left. Dorothea, Nathaniel and Velicia waited in the street behind the fountain while I was a little further away. Dorothea walked up to me and told me to talk to the maid and claim the house as I was the last of my family in the whole of Perrenland.

After some hesitation I agreed. I walked up to house and the rest followed close behind. Honeypot had changed her appearance. When the maid opened the door I said
"I have two things to tell you. The first is that Aldern Foxglove died at the Foxglove manor."
"No. He couldn't have. You can ask him yourselves." the maid answered.
I was very surprised and remembered vividly trowing my dagger into my brother, dealing the killing blow. The maid went to go get him. After a short while, Aldern appeared looking like he did when we first saw him. He invited us in to sort it all out and offered dinner. I was so surprised I couldn't answer but just followed him into the house. There weren't just Aldern but also Iesha who greeted us. I asked Aldern if he had the address to his sister Zeeva in the Great Kingdoms and what became of the other sister. He said that we would get answers to our questions after dinner. I got suspicious and watched him closely. He seamed to be a little stiff and emotionless. When a valet appeared and Aldern suggested that I and Dorothea should help out in the kitchen, I was so surprised at the idea of me cooking that I agreed. Dorothea had no objections. The maid and the valet led the way and Iesha followed behind, closing the door behind us.

As we were suspicious we weren't surprised when they started turning into strange tree-like creatures. I drew my new dagger and attacked the creature previously looking like Iesha making it stagger into a line with the others with my dexterous stab. I screamed "Monsters!" as load as I could to alert the others. Dorothea unleashed a howl of doom that was a devastating shout that pulped their flesh. The creature I stabbed finished it's transformation and tricked me with it's unnatural moves, using my confusion to stab me. It really hurt and the creature previously being the maid tried to do the same but this time I was prepared so it missed. I flanked one of the creatures and having to keep it's guard in opposite directions it left an opening. I used it by killing it with a well placed stab and backed into a corner to avoid the same fate. Dorothea used her strange magic to teleport with a bang and the former valet creature was killed. That was when the others finally managed to help us out. Honeypot tumbled into the room and distracted the last monster. I used that to stab it, killing it.

The strange creatures were a little wood like and smelled of swamp. None of us had ever seen anything looking like them or read any descriptions of creatures looking like them. We thought about how much noise we had made and wondered if the city guard would show up. I told the others that they patrolled the area very frequently and would probably show up if they suspected anything. Velicia grabbed one of the creatures and teleported out into the back alley. Honeypot changed her appearance again to look like a maid. I climbed a tree in the back yard and hid. Dorothea, Nathaniel and Velicia quickly checked through the upper floors of the house to make sure we wouldn't be attacked from there.
