Showy giant.

We discussed what to do without coming to any real conclusion, but we finally agreed to attack the giant outside the door wearing lots of gold. Even if it wasn't Mokmurian it was probably some kind of leader. We planed the attack carefully, deciding to not kill it, but take it alive. We sneaked up to the secret door to suddenly open it. Nathaniel and I stabbed the giant, Velicia struck it and teleported it into the corridor. Honeypot struck it making it disoriented and lowering it's guard so Nathaniel and I could strike it unconscious. We dragged it away from the door and closed it. Searching through it's possessions I found 190 platinum, 180 gold, 130 silver and a magical ring with a stone in it. I made sure it wasn't lost.

Honeypot and Velicia woke the giant and interrogated it while Nathaniel and I kept guard at the door and the corridor continuing past it, to see if anyone had noted our attack. We could hear voices outside and Nathaniel who understood what they said told me it was giants complaining that the boss could indeed skip guard duty. When finished, Honeypot erased the close memories from the giant and in their place put new ones of it gambling away it's riches and getting drunk with the kobolds. It would probably be to embarrassed to ever mention it.

We gathered up our things and continued down the other corridor. We passed some corridors leading off to the sides. The first smelled sharply. We guessed it was a tannery. From the next we could hear that it was a smithy. I sneaked down the corridor to take a look. In a room beyond I found two giants, several strange dwarfs with burning beards and captives working. The giants and the dwarfs seemed to be using magic. I retreated and we decide to pass them without a fight. We could free the captives on the way out. Next we came to a sleeping room for giants. It was empty. Perhaps it belonged to the giant we knocked out because it was finer than other sleeping rooms for giants we had seen. The corridor lead on. It had big skins hanging on the walls. I got suspicious and was very careful and looked for traps. Sure enough I noted slits in the wall behind the skins and behind them trolls!

Moving along the corridor and aiming carefully I threw my dagger though the slit and hit a troll. Nathaniel went up to a hole and got stabbed by a troll's fork as he jabbed back with his sword. Honeypot squeezed through a hole and fought the troll behind. Velicia teleported through and I soon followed. After a long fight we finally killed them. It turned out that only with fire can you stop trolls from regenerating and only Nathaniel had a weapon that burned. Velicias tries with a torch was mostly ineffectual, but when they were all killed and burned we could look for treasure. There was a big sack and it was very heavy. Eagerly I opened it only to discover it was filled with rocks! Just stupid rocks. Not even rich in minerals or anything. Honey wanted to put the stupid rocks in her garden. Bah!

I thought I heard sounds from some monster or something along the continuing corridor and we went to find out. Velicia found all the walking around tiring and summoned a floating disk. The corridor ended in a descending spiraling round tunnel. We continued down it. It turned out to be deep and we went far down. Then the tunnel got square but the corners were still rounded and all distances got distorted. Everything seemed to be further away than it really was. It felt as if you walked really fast. I had to keep myself from running just to find out how fast it would feel. The corridor split into two corridors but we followed the right wall. It lead to a room that looked huge in the distortion, but I couldn't tell for sure for real. We could see a wall far, far away straight across the room, but to the left the room continued on into the horizon. I could vaguely more sense than see, a door in the wall across. At the very edge of what we could see to the left there were some giants guarding something that could be a well of some kind. I thought they saw us but they didn't do anything.
