I stab X to make sure
Search his room. Find dead tortured guy. I found a cool pen. Good looking and a kind of magical eternal pen.
Honeypot read stuff in his room
Nell, Nathaniel being careful not to set off any traps, searched the rest of the rooms
Find some more poems that Nathaniel read and I remembered.
Found some evil pool of water. Probably for spawning Lamashtu monsters
We return to Honey and Velicia and tell to go back up.
Town guard watch hole as we go to nearby Cracktooth’s Tavern
We think about poems
Nathaniel and Honeypot know of volcanic lake on other side of sea Druid circle
The rest of the day we spend preparing for a trip there.
Honeypot cast stone wall to make sure no one wanders in.
Velicia will study more
We take a boat there. Takes more than a day.
Arrive there it is cold.
I buy cold weather clothes
We go up the mountain.
It looks like sitting man
Hard to get up to circle. Hard terrain. Climb. Leave Orik, Kaven and Creampuff. Shadowmist flew magically over terrain.
Nathaniel offered to ride his big war horse
Honeypot became four legged snow leopard with her upper body like centaur and offered ride.
I hesitated and Nathaniel rode off. Easy choice.
We rode up to circle that was as in mountain mans arms
Saw that cave for mouth
Seven stone heads in circle
Make sure no dangers near
Dusk came early
Start looking at statues.
Honey find lust, I wrote lust on it with chalk
I found greed and Nathaniel found wrath and I wrote on them too
He hit it and the mouth opened and showed key
I drew my dagger and made it give the statue golden furnishings
It opened mouth and gave key
Honey works lust
I and Nathaniel identify the rest.
While Nathaniel tried to open pride, I sat down at sloth
He joined me and we watched Honey work lust.
Then I suggested to her to put her hat of disguise on the pride next to lust.
It turned shortly into a face that wasn't the runelord.
Alarm went off
Then her yppighetshorn opened sloth and a healing potion opened gluttony
At last Honeypot cast the ritual to remove the sihedron rune on envy
I noted that there was some kind of smoke or mist coming out of the mouth of mountain.
In that mist I noted that a big flying monster (dragon) came out.
White dragon.
Quickly Honeypot started ritual for protection from cold.
I hid and even Honeypot ducked lower while still casting ritual as the dragon came closer.
As it got closer talked said something in a strange language that Nathaniel later told me was draconic.
He answered it thusly;<br>
"The only thing you will eat is cold steel."
It roared and dove down towards us. As Honeypot finished her ritual, I threw my dagger from my hiding place in the rubble, hitting it in the belly. It's thick scales lessened the effect of my dagger. I rolled behind a few bigger boulders and continued away from the others to try to make it harder to hit us all with its breath, or including me without it even knowing it. I had heard that the breath of a dragon was very dangerous.
The dragon flew straight at us roaring, making us all shiver with fear.
As it passed over us Honeypot flew up after it and struck one of its wings making it tumble to the ground. I attacked it with a thrown dagger again, being careful to move around but keeping hidden from its view. Poor Nathaniel was ice cubed. Honeypot flew down to him and helped. She outflanked it and while it tried to keep them both in sight, I caught a glimpse of its neck and threw my dagger hitting a vital spot. It hurt it bad, but dragons don't die easily. Another attack hit as well before I hid carefully behind a rock as I knew it would want to get even. But Nathaniel, free from the ice, hacked at the dragon as in a frenzy. Strike after strike hit the dragon who suffered heavily. It focused fully on him with its attacks. Honeypot took advantage of the distraction and used dominating magic on it. She told us it was under her control, at least until we hit it, but it was an awful beast and deserved to die. I threw my dagger again and the dragon was getting weaker, bleeding from many wounds, as did Nathaniel. Honeypot used her control over the dragon to talk to it in its old tongue, while we struck it again and again. Finally it broke her magic and tried to fly away. Once more Honeypot flew after it and struck a wing felling it to the earth.
Leaping across stones and boulders I darted across the battlefield to stab it where it lay. Nathaniel, still riding Shadowmist, rode out to the middle of the stone circle and reared his big, black horse. Then he charged the dragon from the other side. It returned the favor with its cold breath and claws. He was wounded, but he had had worse. Still Honeypot cheered him up. With snarling ferocity I attacked, my dagger biting deep into the dragons flesh filling its heart with doubt. It flapped its wings weakly as it fell over. I jumped up on its neck and drove my dagger in to the hilt. A thundering silence spread over the landscape. The dragon was dead.
I took a tooth out of its big mouth to keep as a souvenir.
The night was upon us and we prepared a campsite. Honeypot cast a spell that made houses of snow that was hard to spot from the outside. I wondered how you could keep warm in a house made out of cold snow, but Nathaniel reassured me that it would work. I ate a late supper, that I had in my bag of holding, warming it on a fire that was made by Honeypiots magic. Nathaniel was working on the dragon most of the evening.
When I just had gone to bed he came in with a big bloody thing in his hands. He told me to eat it. I was very skeptical, but you have to try it before you can tell if its good or bad. It was bad. He told me it was the dragons heart. It would grant you magical powers if you ate from it. I didn't feel any different and I don't think Nathaniel or Honeypot did either as they too tasted it. I made my dagger create a blanket with golden brocade. It worked very well. I was warm and cozy all night.
Nathaniel woke me the next morning. I can't understand how he can get up so early every morning.
