Early before midday we prepared to attack the dragon to get the last ring we needed. Since our attack on the keep there were many patrols flying over the town, but with the help from our skulk friend, Morgiv,  we could move about town as we liked through tunnels underground. Even the very old, enormous, blue dragon joined in the searches. We arrived to the edge of the town where the tunnels ended and there we left Kaven and Morgiv. We discussed what to do. I decided that we should climb up to its nest when it was flying over town looking for us and razing the houses they suspected us to be in. I felt sorry about the gold being buried in the piles of rubble that was all that remained of the houses attacked. Velicia wanted to talk to it. I really didn't. I thought it was bad enough that we let the Ice Devil live. I don't think that would be what Pelor would have wanted. Then I suggested that when we talked to it we could steal all its treasure and then offer to return half for the ring we wanted. It would be a sure way to get to kill it. We agreed to sneak up there and then Velicia would put her new flag in the middle and challenge it. When it attacked we would pull it down and try to keep it on the ground to kill it. Knowing that blue dragons use lighting Honeypot prepared a ritual to protect us against it.

We started climbing up the mountainside and I made sure we weren't seen. Nathaniel used his knowledge of dragons to make sure we didn't stumble into it by chance, but Velicia almost made that happen anyway. Luckily Honeypot managed to trick it away. Sadly it knew it had been tricked. We sneaked to where we had thought there would be a cave but it turned out that there was no roof. Instead it was an area where high pillars of stone reached some fifty feet high and walls of ice almost as much. I sneaked ahead and the others followed carefully. Nathaniel took out a small statue of a golden griffin that grew into a real flying on and Velicia went out into the open and put down her new flag. She was immediately attacked by the blue dragon who had been hiding on a high pillar straight above me. Lightning leaped from its mouth and into Velicia and on to Dorothea and Honeypot nearby. We all sprang into action most of the others flying high up into the air. Nathaniel charged it riding the griffin his new huge two-handed sword. He struck it with several blows doing much damage. I took out my sling and shot a stone at it wounding it slightly. Moving out of the way I hid near a pillar hoping the plan would succeed, that Honeypot would be able to bring it down.

The dragon had still not regained its balance. I climbed up its back and avoiding the flailing mouth, I straddled the head and stabbed it in the eye. It gave a final deafening roar, but soon the air failed it and it started falling down. I leaped from the falling head hitting the ground hard, but after rolling I stood without any injury. Turning back to the dragon I knew it was dead. I looked for any ring but didn't find anything at all. Velicia mentioned eating the heart as we did last time. I suggested that we should let Kaven cook it this time. Nathaniel said it would lose any power if we did, so I suggested a small bite and then let the rest marinade in honey and wine before being cooked. Dorothea suggested using thyme. I thought it sounded good but I suggested that she talk to Kaven about that. It's so much better when he did it than if I would have tried.

Looking around I found the treasure inside a crystal block near where I had been hiding. There I found lots of coins and other valuables. There were some work of arts but they had mostly been destroyed.
