Detect Plant or Beast
Holding your dowsing stick, you think of deer. The stick pulls to towards one, then another.

You can detect a particular kind of beast or plant – either plant creatures or regular growing plants - in a close burst. You must think of a kind of animal or plant when using the ritual. You sense the number of individuals of the specified kind in the area, and the conditions and location of each individual present. The ritual can penetrate barriers, but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of precious metal or lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks it. The size of the burst depends on the result of your Nature check.
