Modify Memory
Reaching into the mind of the target, you pluck the strands of memory like the strings of a lute.

You reach into the mind of a helpless or willing target and modify its memories in one of the following ways.
- Eliminate all memory of an event the subject actually experienced.
- Allow the subject to recall with perfect clarity an event it actually experienced.
- Change the details of an event the subject actually experienced. You must have fairly detailed knowledge of the even to do this.
- Implant a memory of an event the subject never experienced.
A modified memory does not necessarily affect the subject’s actions, particularly if it contradicts the creature’s natural inclinations. An illogical modified memory is dismissed by the creature as a bad dream or a memory muddied by too much wine. The amount of time the modified memory can span depends on your Arcana check as follows. The whole sequence must be within the allotted time span; if you want to modify the memory of two events three years apart, you need to be able to modify three year’s worth of memories or use the ritual twice.
