Anwar el Amir al Shahaadhaan

Anwar, the Prince of Beggars

Played by Oscar Ubeda-Segmar

Anwar is an orphan street kid from Muluk. He has inherited a very fine (but worn) caftan from a mysterious father, and fancies himself a prince of some faraway land. No-one can tell if this is so.

From an early age, he learned to take care of himself. He, Yezeed, and Abdallah were childhood friends, playing pranks in the streets together.

Anwar lived as a beggar, and he used a tame monkey to aid in his busking. Over time, he grew very close to that monkey, learning to speak to it and learning to do monkey tricks. He thus became a beastmaster as well as a beggar, using Animal magic and Monkey powers, as well as the Path of the Pouncing Panther to perform amazing feats of agility and strength.

He gradually lost interest in adventuring, sometimes tagging along with the other heroes, sometimes spending his time alone in the wilderness, until one day when he was simply not seen any more. Perhaps he will come back, and joint the other heroes on later adventures? No-one knows, his motivations are as mysterious as his past. He is always accompanied by his faithful monkey, Yodfah, who is clever and agile, even if he can also be pompous and taunting.

He also has a secret sweetheart, Alayna, the sister of Gusard and a secret princess of Gana. She is constantly testing his spiritual purity and devotion to higher ideals, something he sometimes enjoys, sometimes ignores.
