Yezeed al-Muluki

Sa'luk of Muluk

Played by Jonas Bolander

Yezeed is a lowborn street-thief from Muluk. He has always been bright and able, but perhaps not the most cheerful. From an early age, he learned to take care of himself. He, Anwar, and Abdallah were childhood friends, playing pranks in the streets together.

Yezeed had a bitter experience on the borderland between life and death, that makes him unwilling to trust religious promises of salvation. He is now afraid to die, spending every moment in either debauchery or danger.

He is a mediocre fighter, but can often gain an advantage on opponents by stealth and the marvelous Dagger of Hawa.

He is an eternal bachelor, with disdain for Abdallah's domesticity. He does have a secret sweetheart, however. She is Numa, a rogue like Yezeed. Originally a barmaid, she was swept of her feet by a noble suitor only to become his mistress and general waiting-woman.

Tanks to Yezeed, this nobleman was later convicted of practicing piracy. Yezeed later helped her secure the inheritance of her daughter, Amlah bint Numa.

Original Art of Yezeed by Håkan Ackegård.
