Danger Sense

Inherent

You have an instinctive sense for when danger approaches. You can use Dodge instead of Recon as the defense value when people try to Sneak on you.

This sense only registers actively hostile creatures; ambushes and enemy with intent to harm. It does not actually reveal where the enemy is or what they are about to do, only that creatures of hostile intent is nearby.

If a hidden attacker notices that you have sensed them and decides not to attack, the premonition fades and you surmise that it was a false alarm and take no further notice of it or report it; it is assumed that Danger Sense triggers many more times than the events actually played out.

Hide

Basic Action

You go under cover and try to remain unnoticed and out of the way.

Make a Recon roll and compare it against the highest Recon rating among the opposition. If you fail and it is important to know who spotted you, observers can make opposed Recon rolls to see who noticed you first, but generally this is a moot point as long as the enemy is able to communicate. You must be in some plausible place of concealment to hide, but the GM is encouraged to be lenient on this. Basically you need to give a suitably cinematic description of your stunt.

Your Hide roll gets a bonus or penalty based on circumstances, as normal - generally being more than their Mind meters away or on the other side of a solid barrier makes the Hide check Confident.

If successful you are under cover and hiding, effectively invisible. You cannot be selected as the target of an attack and gain a +3 bonus to Dodge against area attacks. You can scout and observe, this is the main use of Hide. You can attack, but gain no special advantage from doing so when hiding.

You need not make additional Recon rolls to stay hidden and can perform other actions as long as you remain still and under cover, but opponents can actively use Scan or schticks to find you. You become visible if you call attention to yourself, move, or take an action that directly affects someone other than yourself. If you start hidden, move (thus revealing yourself), and then successfully sneak again, enemies have only a vague idea you are in the area.

Sneak

Basic Action

You sneak up on someone to get an advantage.

Make a Recon roll and compare it against the highest Dodge among the opposition. If you fail and it is important to know who spotted you, observers can make opposed Recon rolls to see who noticed you first, but generally this is a moot point as long as the enemy is able to communicate. If successful you are under cover and hiding, effectively invisible. You cannot be selected as the target of an attack and gain a +3 bonus to Dodge against area attacks. Any attacks you make in the shot where you exploit your cover gets a +3 attack bonus and your attacks do not allow Trigger Actions.
