Plunder

All officers shall have two shares of the loot. All other crew shall have one share of the loot.

Cowardice during combat is punished by loss of share.

Crimes

If another member of the crew speaks on behalf of the accused any punishment can be lessened by the captain. If the crime is repeated the punishment should be increased accordingly. Whipping are to be stopped if the accused is unconscious.

Capital offenses

• Mutiny
• Striking an officer
• Lying to an officer

Capital offense is punished by death to be carried out by walking the plank.

Crimes against the ship

• Endangering the ship (Not careful with fire, etc.)
• Stealing from the ship
• Sleeping on post

Crime against the ship is punished by running the gauntlet through the crew.

Crimes amongst the shipmates

• Striking a shipmate

Fighting amongst the crew is settled on shore by a fight till first blood.

• Stealing from a shipmate

Whipping, strokes determined by value stolen.

Minor offense

• Failing duty (Causing a tear in sail, etc.)

Let the punishment fit the crime. Failing duty is punished by an extra watch of that duty. Punishment is determined by captain.
