Rista and Alert withdraw back to basement because they hear threatening noises. Perhaps they must deal with horror in the pool.

Others set out to drive the enemy back.

Said sneaks up and slays two wizards, Gates turn undead galore.

Also, fireball by Jaden.

Said flanked by clerics of Orcus. Jaden and Gates helps out.

Suddenly: Maximized Fireball!

Vampire Duskblade and vampire Assassin from Against the Vampires are back!

Lots of fighting but vampires are driven back and lock a door and drop a portcullis, locking heroes in.

Tasha, Said, Gates and Rob force confrontation.

The disgusting Chasme-demon from Siege of Giant Cottage also is back but is grappled by Tasha and Said slices the revolting horror to sludge.

Rob destroys wooden door and Said jumps in engaging the vampire Assassin. Tasha grapples in and pins it down, allowing Said to force the vampire into Gaseous Form.

Having been sorely injured by the vampire Duskblade's counter attack, Rob staggers back, sorely injured.

Tasha once again grapples and pins. Rob stalks back into the fray and chops the second vampire to gaseous form as well.

Exhausted but with enemies driven back the heroes draw back to rest.
