4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons

Psychic Channel is a paragon path for 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons.

The physical body is just a projection of the psychic self. I know many others!

You have learned to project your will as a tangible force that directly interacts with physical reality.

Paragon Path

Psychic Channel Paragon Path Features

Prerequisites: Ability to teleport.

Action Channel (11th level): When you use an action point you can teleport three squares before performing the extra action.

Psychic Reinforcement (11th level): You can use a Psychic Channel power to spend a healing surge instead of gaining the normal benefit of the power. Doing so does not activate any other Psychic Channel path features.

Withdrawal (20th level): When you use a Psychic Channel power you become invisible. This invisibility lasts until you take any action; actions spent on Psychic Channel powers do not break your invisibility.

Psychic Channeler Spells

Project Creature Psychic Channel Attack 11
You psychically project a creature that acts as you direct.
EncounterIllusion, Psychic
Minor Action      Ranged 20
Effect:

You create the illusion of a creature of your level or less (it is permissible to level up lower-level creatures). It has the stats of a typical creature of its type. You cannot create spectral leader, minion, elite, or solo monsters.

  • It acts only as you direct. Making it take an action costs you the same kind of action (standard/move/minor). You must have line of sight (but not line of effect) to direct the actions of a projected creature.
  • It has no hit points. Half of any damage it takes is converted to psychic damage and transferred to you. You can choose not to transfer the damage of an attack, in which case the Projected Creature disappears immediately.
  • It does not die, it simply disappears. Any effects based on the death of another creature, such as the warlock’s curses, does not trigger when an projected creature is defeated.
  • All the damage it does is converted to psychic damage after passing damage resistance or vulnerability. Apply resistance and vulnerability to both psychic damage and the attack’s apparent damage to the damage it inflicts, applying resistance/vulnerability to psychic damage last.

Sustain Special: If you don't spend any actions on the projected creature, it disappears at the end of your turn.

Project Image Psychic Channel Utility 12
You create a projected image that you can act trough.
DailyIllusion, Psychic
Minor Action      Ranged 20
Effect:

You create the illusion of yourself and can use powers trough this image.

  • Each time you take an action, you can decide whether it originates from you or your projected image. You must have line of sight (but not line of effect) to direct its actions.
  • It has no hit points. Half of any damage it takes is converted to psychic damage and transferred to you. You can choose not to transfer the damage of an attack, in which case the projected image disappears immediately.
  • An attack on the projected image counts as an attack on.
  • It does not die, it simply disappears. Any effects based on the death of another creature, such as the warlock’s curses, does not trigger when an projected image is defeated.

Sustain Special: If you don't spend any actions on the projected image, it disappears at the end of your turn.

Psychic Seclusion Psychic Channel Attack 20
You reduce your contact with your ordinary physical shell.
DailyIllusion, Psychic
Free Action      Personal
Effect:

When using another Psychic Channel power, you can activate this power to become insubstantial. Psychic Seclusion lasts as long as you are using another Psychic Channel power.
