Dawn of the Dead
You create a fell zone where the dead walk again.
Level: 3 | Component Cost: 500 gp |
Category: Binding | Market Price: 1,000 gp |
Time: 1 hour | Key Skill: Religion |
Duration: 24 hours |
When you cast this ritual, you create an area where fresh corpses rise as zombie rotters. Any mostly whole medium or small humanoid corpse less than a week old (or somehow preserved) in the area is affected, including the corpses of those slain during the duration. The area is a close burst with a size depending on the ritual check. Zombies created by this rite will obey your orders, but if not ordered will simply attack the living. Any zombies surviving the end of the ritual return to where they came from and become corpses again.
Religion Check Result | Size of the close burst |
9 or lower | 5 (cottage) |
10-19 | 20 (farm) |
20-29 | 100 (village) |
30-39 | 500 (town) |
40 or higher | 2,000 (city) |
