Drow

The End

The attack on HouseHasdrubel is now inevitable. Xora's house is also called in to do battle. The poor relations with HouseNemalzhi were apparently a ruse from the beginning.

Velveinfiltrates, eager to try and make the kill of his career. As the attack commences under the cover of a magical barrage by the wizards of the alliance Velve slays MatronGlavil.

Meanwhile GhulDril spearheads an assault to make contact with Velve and to break up communications for the forces of HouseHasdrubel.

Xora attempts to link up with Zhe'raen but to her amazement finds that he has mysteriously vanished into thin air right before her very eyes. Accepting this as the will of Lolth the intrepid Matron starts looking out for someone else for her to pour her attention upon. WeaponsmasterScatha, her old lover and current enemy of the allied forces seems like a good choice. Lolth doesn't mind and so Xora has few qualms about helping her handsome champion of her choice.

Ahriman keeps an eye out for all manner of trouble and boy, does he find it! All other houses near to the battle seem to be disturbed by the annoying amounts of collateral damage done by the wirardly warfare and starts shooting back in a small-minded manner! And shoot at each other. And activate alliances of their own! Ahriman goes like: "WTF?!" and promply delivers a few blasts to all who honk him off, just to remind The City who's the greatest wizard in the playground, Lolthdammit!

Zhaunil stays away from the fighting but encounters the Vampire who is less than impressed by her attempts to exscuse her summoning of him. Taking her personal insigna and swallowing it the mighty Undead now claims: "I can summon you too. That makes us even!" and departs.

Meanwhile, Velve encounters, in quick order, an albino Dragon and a band of Orc-tiger lycanthropes. Parlaying for his life with the latter group he manages to link up with GhulDril while steering away from the Orcs who're now completely unfettered.

All over town Houses take the opportunity to settle old scores and slaves seem bent on revolting all over The City. Seeing this from a balcony Xora sets about singing battle-hymns inspiring the followers of Lolth as chaos spreads all over the place.

As warfare rums amok a strange change of mood settles over all Drow and they seem to regress to an earlier social pattern, replacing the House as main social unit with the Tribe.

Most military cohesion breaks up as each newly founded Tribe starts making their way away from the fighting. As HouseHasdrubel falls, HouseNemalzhi breaks up into smaller parts, forming at least two distinct tribes. One headed by Zhaunil is small but already heading out into the wilderness of the underdark. The larger part is still headed by MatronNemalzhi but now with WeaponsmasterMorghedil as her consort.

They briefly encounter Zarathustriel who says she will remain in the ruins of the emptying city for a while. She makes a few vague promises of showing up some time, maybe. Nirl decides to go out alon, to see the world but he promises to return in time when he as seen and experienced enough to satisfy his curiosity.

As the scene closes on the Drow Zhe'raen remains missing, yet noone seems worried, since the free-spirited Weaponsmaster is under the protection of The Godess after all.

Alone in the ruins of her house sits WeaponsmasterIoria. With no tribe, no City and no Gods answering her prayers. All she has are herself and the world.

Thus ends the campaign.
