A Battle Merit Award is awarded to all ranks for individual battlefield prowess. The criterion is simple: confirmed combat kills. These medals have been awarded in Asamet for thousands of years. They were made official Imperial awards by Emperor Mezzenbone.
Quesmet frowns upon official rewards for killing enemies. The awards are quite popular among the ranks since it gives bragging rights.
