Sometimes, you want to quickly generate random pilots, without resorting to the skill point system. In this way, you can avoid the optimized gunnery-heavy pilots typically generated by players.
This system uses averaged d6:s. To roll an average d6, use is a d6, but read a result of 1 as 3 and a result of 6 as 4. This gives a range of 2 to 5, with a concentration on 3 and 4.
Roll an averaged d6 for each pilot skill. If the pilot is to be a wingleader or a wingman to the squadron leader, add one. If it is the squadron leader himself, add two. For Aces add three, and for ace of aces add four.
The rules say you cannot have a Constitution score less than 3; it's your call whether to reroll such scores, or simply assign a score of 3 for lower results.
