Blessed with being the least distinct of all the provinces of Coeranys, Rainen is a rainy plateau, suitable for horses and cattle. In olden days, the Chimera attempted on several occasions to invade through Rainen, but each attempt was thwarted. The old Crawford castle still stands ready to defend the border, though there haven't been an attempted invasion for over a hundred years. Raiding by gnoll war parites continues, however.
