Crawford Manor

Situated on a height above the Quatil River in north-eastern Ranien, Coeranys. Crawford Manor is not really a manor, but a well-built castle of the motte-and-bailey type. It lies overlooking the river and a small natural port.

The Crawford family has lived here for generations. Legend has it that the first Crawford had the castle built by dwarves from Baruk-Azhik as payment for services rendered.

Another legend states that the Crawfords will fall from power if six certain ravens are killed. Since nobody knows which ravens these would be, no blackbird is to be killed, on penalty of death. This has made the castle a popular roosting place for hundreds of blackbirds.
