Steely Gaze

Opponents forced to gaze into your cold, hard eyes sometimes find it wise to back off from you.

Prerequisite: Charisma 13, trained in Intimidation.

Benefit: You may, as an attack action (but usually before combat has started), make an Intimidation check against an opponent within fifteen feet. Success means that the subject of your gaze becomes shaken, and remains shaken until the encounter ends, you are 'defeated' in some way, or another opponent manages to rally him or her.

Unlike many other uses of the Intimidation skill, there are no downsides to using Steely Gaze. You don't make threats, or act in a threatening manner. You just show that you're a badass, and not to be trifled with.

Special: The target of this ability must be vulnerable to fear and demoralization.
