Screen shots (City of Heroes)

To take a screenshot during normal gameplay, you can either:

• Press "Printscreen" to get CoH to put an image file in the "screenshots" folder.
• Press "Control" + "Printscreen" to capture an image into memory (not save an image file) for direct pasting into another program. It's like selecting a piece of text in your web browser and doing "cut", in order to later do "paste" in Notepad.

In the special screens, such as Login, Enhancement Slotting, and the Costume Editor, only second method works.

So, what I do is:

1. Starting my photo edit program (Gimp).
2. Opening a new, blank image, with the same dimensions as my screen.
3. Alt-tab to CoH.
4. Press Control-Printscreen.
5. Alt-tab back to Gimp.
6. Paste the captured image.
