Sponsored by The Lover, the force most devoted to freedom of will in the Unification Church, a Sacred Exorcist is not only devoted to defeating evil spirits - but just as much to keeping their mortal hosts alive and well.
This single minded devotion to a single duty has made them highly respected in House Qesemet, and they are tollerated in Houseasamet because possession is generally disruptive to all kinds of organized society. However, Emperor Mezzenbone worships The Destroyer,and isnot bound by such concearns - ISPD agents are known to have killed meddling Sacred Exorcists. Such events usually have a massive public-relations backlash, so they are only done when absolutely nescessary, and hushed even then.
Sacred Exorcists will try to avoid killing a host if at all possible, and mist atone if they fail to do so. Of course, if there are several possessed hosts who form a formidable fighting force, a death toll is all but inevitable, but a Sacred Exorcist must never personally kill a possessed host, and is duty-bound to free as many as humany possible.
It is possible for many spellcasting classes to take this prestige class. Sorcerers who do so are seen as hopeless romantics, but are still respected in House Qesemet - but will still never land a good job in an AristoCorp.
