Order of Saint Michael (Shadowrun)

The archangel Michael has more and more become the patron saint of catholic warriors in the sixth world. Seen as the embodiment of bravery, loyalty, and devotion, St Michael was a natural patron saint of the various militias created during the chaos of the Awakening.

Generally, each militia or chapter has it's own patron saint, while still subservient to the order. Officers are sent to the military academies sponsored by the order, and there is also an attempt an a unified command structure. But in general each chapter acts on its own, some as christian mercenaries, others as militia, security forces, or police. Lately some chapters have started to form more regular battalions under church aegis.

The michaelites is a non-magical order, but they often have members from the magic orders assigned to them, especially from The Templars of St. George.
