Background

Virginia Paille's anthropological interest for the depressionistic Goth subculture led her into two dangerous paths: looking for vampires and dvelving into dark magic. Combining them led to unexpected results. Trying a dark ceremony involving supposedly real vampire blood left her with a need to feed not on blood, but on the very essence of life, such as strong emotions and activities.

Trying to still that need led her to the super-being-crowded Paragon City, where such energies exist in abundance. There she uses her now expanded knowledge of the dark arts to capture those deemed unworthy, taking a small toll of their essence to sustain herself before turning them over to the authorities. She has also learned to share the energies she draws, in order to heal and support those that fight beside her, lending her aid in exchange for help with her hunting.
