Ms Blackthorn (hero)

This is a character made especially for a supergroup that I and Urban are trying to put together - P.S.I.

Laura Blackthorn was peacefully pruning the hedges of her ranch when the ecoterrorists hit a nearby research site. Something caused Laura to merge with the blackthorn bushes, creating a hybrid human/plant creature. She may look human most of the time, but the blackthorns inside are always ready to leap out - and to strangle, rip and entangle anyone close enought.

Laura was almost driven mad by this change, but the P.S.I. saved her and gave her a mission in life.

Ms. Blackthorn is sort of a power build, though she certainly has role-playing prospects as well. She is a Science Spines/Dark Scrapper. You could call her ambient damage girl - she is to scrappers what the fire tanker is to tankers - entirely focused on area damage. The basic idea is to hurt everyone that comes close, impaling them with thorns, draining them with root tendrils, befuddling them with musk and finally turning them into fertelizer.

In the long run, she will be alot better than a fire tanker at doing ambient damage - but not as good at survivig what others dish out. At level 18, she will have two damage-dealing auras running simultaneously - that's when I expect her to really take off.

And yes, her appearance is designed with the horrible-looking dark armor power in mind - and I also altered the sounds so that they do not drive me crazy.
