World of d20d20 Modern Horror

Caster level is always the same as a character's total magic rating, which accumulates in the same way as base attack or saves. Follow this priority order to determine Magic Rating:

  1. If the class lists Magic Rating, use it.
  2. Any spellcasting class gives +1 magic rating per level. There are no semi-spellcasters in d20 Modern.
  3. Fey or Outsider hit dice give +½ magic rating each.
  4. All other classes or hit dice give no magic rating.

Total the magic rating from all levels in all classes and check the table.
