Lope de Vega (Nomads)
Don Carlos Lope de Vega y Torres Vargas is a swashbuckler and gentleman adventurer from Amn. He is in his mid forties, and while he is slower than in his youth, his skill and experience more than make up for it. Don Carlos is charming and intelligent, but he is a man of action rather than learning.
As the third son of a gentleman, Carlos would only receive a small inheritance and no property when his father died. He took up the sword as a young man to make his own way in life. Don Carlos has lost and won several fortunes, fought dozens of duels, and loved many beautiful women. He finally settled down when he married the beautiful Doña Isabella. When his son Diego was born, his life was complete. They lived happily for a few years, but he was devastated when his wife died soon after giving birth to their daughter Angelica.
Now, his son is is a soldier in Maztica, and he recently married off his daughter to a petty noble. Rather than spend his days at home in an empty house full of memories, Don Carlos has decided to take up the sword once again.
