The highest level of police force in the Dragon Empire. Emperor Mezzenbone added the ISPD, reducing the authority of the Imperial Police greatly, but the old police force is still active. The creation of the ISPD removed some of the status from the Imperial Police, but none of the workload.
Hampered during three thousand years of chaotic emperors, the Imperial Police has turned into a rather haphazard organization, with insecure funding and frequent turnover. The upside to this is that successful officers get a very free reign to persue investigations in any way they like.
Watch Detectives trained by the Imperial Police still hold the best track reckord for crimefighting in the empire.
