Growing up in a science lab can be dangerous for a kitten. While most of her littermates died in the experiments, kitten F02347.56A-2 (usually called Foo) survived and gained strange new abilities in the transmutation chambers. Abilities such as Ice Blast and Opposable Thumbs. After she escaped she took the name of Freezer, and started flash-freezing any scum she could find. Sure beats working for a living.

She prefers to hunt people who misuse science in unethical ways. Unethical to a cat, that is.
