Sarah Bown was the wife of Joseph Paxton , the gardener and architect behind the 1851 Crystal Palace . She helped her husband in his work, eventually surpassing his understanding of crystalization. Her greatest breakthrough to date, induced crystalization, was made attempt to save her dying husband. Testing the procedure on herself, she hibernated for almost 150 years, waking up as a young woman in an entirely new time. With the help of other heroes, she adjusted to the times and donned the identity of Crystal Palace.
