Many creatures common to D&D have slightly different origins or look slightly different in my version of greyhawk. Some also have Greyhawk-specific names. This is a summary of the changes.
Orks: are relative newcomers; they began to arrive in great numbers along with Iuz. Native to the Shadowfell, orcs are humans corrupted by life in the land of shadow, which explains why they are still interfertile.
Goblioids are the traditional evil humanoids of the Flaenesse, and figure prominently in the myths and histories of elves, dwarves, gnomes and humans. At various times in history the Flanesse has been dominated by goblinoids. St. Cuthbert acheived prominence at once such interval.
Doppelgangers are touched by unfathomable aliens; they are of the Aberrant origin.
