Oscariana

A simple version of the mechanical man; it has no true analytical ability and can only perform very simple, repetetive tasks. It has to be specifically keyed to operate in a certain locale. It can operate in any open area (such as a stage) and it can follow a human about, but is incapable of independently moving about. It otherwise performs like a human with no skills and attributes of 1. Its advantages are novelty and security; it is absolutely incorruptible and will never listen in on any conversation.

The clockwork mechanism needs to be recharged every (reliability) hours. This is quite a bit of heavy work for a human; the usual procedure is to replace the unwound spring with a winded one and send it back to the workshop for rewinding. It can be built using batteries and electric engines if those are available.
