The task force now knew that the leader of the bioware-equipped Hornets was a ganger named Wasp.
Tuft did some legwork, and discovered that the HQ of the Hornets was a group of old warehouses, while Urgus knocked around a few heads to discover the same. While Tuft kept an eye on those buildings, JorgenCallain did an autopsy of one of the more unfortunate of the gangers, and discovered that the bioware not only was more invasive than previously thought, it also seemed to continue to grow within the body.
Watching the warehouses revealed that the gang operation also seemed more large-scale than anticipaded: much traffic, and a large number of homeless converted to bioware gangers monthly. It also reveals a strange elf that just seemed to hang around, an flamboyant blue-suited wizard.
The task force met at an shady orc bar to discuss the development, and decided that more detailled surveillance was needed. Tuft volunteered to place some equipment inside the Hornet complex, while Belnik kept radio contact from outside.
Tuft sneaked inside, and discovered that while the gangers officially seemed to take order their leader, Wasp, they were more under the controll of a mysterious robed stranger, whose movements betrayed a severe case of non-humanity. That stranger never said anything - instead it seemed to give commands telepathically to the gangers.
The surveillance equipment was set up to communicate through the electrical wiring to be as discrete as possible, and when Tuft went to install the tap for that connection, she was unfortunately discovered by some gangers. She however managed to entice them to fight among themselves, and disappear while taking advantage of the confusion.
When she brushed herself off after that incident, she was approached by the mysterious elf, Hallorn, who offered her a hankerchief. What a gentleman!
A few days later, the survellance equipment revealed a meeting between Wasp, the robed one and a blond man named Steel. Unfortunately, what was said at that meeting could not be picked up by the mikes due to the countermeasures used, but after the meeting Steel was traced to a business called BlueSteelSecurities where he made a phone call to an unknown blue half dragon.
Running searches for Steel revealed that he officially died in a space ship accident six years ago.
