Xerg (Dragonstar)

The Xerg are predators from the Dark Zone. The race is constantly evolving and the form and purpose of each generation is dictated by the Hive Mind. All Xerg seem to work as part of a greater whole. Most Xerg appear to act on instinct, but some are capable of independent action. Some Imperial xenologists believe that the Xerg are part of a Hive Mind or communal intelligence.

The Xerg were first encountered on the planet Xergal 4, hence the name.

Types of Xerg

Several types of Xerg have been observed. Some of the larger Xerg can manifest quite different abilities despite similar appearance. It is believed that these abilites are bred into each generation of Xerg at the discretion of the Hive Mind. The more evolved Xerg can probably manifest Biomorph Feats independently.
