A design proposition from En5ider magazine, the Spectral Mage learns abilities from foes they confront.

Base Class

Basic frame: Cleric. Abilities:

  • Spells
  • Resistances
  • Moves, similar to 4 elements monk (Could be a monk subclass)
  • Abilities specific to each creature type. Subclasses could pick a set of types.

Subclasses

  • Monk similar to 4 elements, unlocks elements from being attacked.
  • Wizard: Learns spells from being attacked.
  • Sorcerer: Learns spells from being attacked.
  • Bard: Gains inspiration abilities from creature types.
