Rover Playbook

As a Rover you are a master of exploration and roughing it. There are still many reasons to travel in the wild; planetary prospecting, guiding tourists, lying low or finding others who try to hide out, and smuggling. The places you're working are mainly the surface of colony planets, meaning low-gravity planets and moons.

Special Abilities

  1. Bestial: Automatically notice when someone is looking at you with hostile intent, and can make an immediate Mark roll to locate them.
  2. Focused: Once per score you can avoid Stress when Resisting surprise or environmental effects or Mark.
  3. Pet: You have a trained animal pet trained to work with you in hostile environments and to wear protection devices. It can do tricks like a dog and Assist you in melee and when you are searching for something.
  4. Predator: When you use Gather Information you can ask an extra question about a target's weaknesses. You gain increased Effect on Mark checks to track.
  5. Rage: When in a Desperate Position, you gain +1d to Resist consequences.
  6. Ranger: Improve your Position on Lunar, Micro, and Terran checks to hide and maneuver.
  7. Spotter: When you Push you can pick one of these improvements to your Action: ignore distance and concealment — find the best path to a spot you see — identify a target and any defenses it has.
  8. Survivor: You can allow your crew to take downtime in the wild.
