A past-life channeler has been reincarnated again and again in different periods of history and draw their spirits from their own former lives.

Class Features

The past-life channeler has all the standard medium’s class features, except as noted below.

Spells

Add reincarnate to the past-life channeler's spell list as a 3rd level spell. He must learn this spell like any other spell from his spell list.

Spirits of Lives Past (Su)

Rather than spirits of the Astral Plane, the past-life channeler channels their own former lives. These past-life spirits are not bound to a particular location as normal spirits are, and may be called from anywhere as long as the channeler performs the appropriate ritual. The past-life echoes called by the past-life channeler function as the spirits normally called by a medium. When a past-life channeler's spirit gains 5 points of influence and takes over his body, it generally has three priorities; have fun, procreate, and preserve the past-life channeler's life and family. This means it will generally avoid adventuring activities and the channeler might find himself hung over and married next morning. This modifies spirit.

Past-Life Awakening (Su)

At 2nd level a channeler gains the ability to compel forth knowledge from a creature's past life. Once per day per point of Charisma bonus the channeler can touch a willing target (a standard action) and grant them a number of skill ranks equal to the channeler's level for one hour. This replaces (does not stack with) any skill ranks the target has, and a creature still cannot have more ranks in a skill than it has Hit Dice. Past-life awakening replaces shared seance.

Uncanny Dodge (Su)

At 3rd level, the past-life channeler's past lives keep an eye out for them and inform them when they might be in danger. He cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does he lose his Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. He still loses his Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A past-life channeler with this ability can still lose his Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against him. If a past-life channeler already has uncanny dodge from a different class, he automatically gains improved uncanny dodge (see below) instead. This replaces haunt channeler.

Friend From The Past (Sp)

At 5th level, a channeler can perform a special seance once per day to call forth a spirit, as call spiritOA except that it works in any old settlement. This spirit is a former inhabitant who died 1from one to 1000 years ago, decided by the GM as appropriate to the ruin or random roll if no time period naturally suggests itself. While alive the spirit had a close relationship with one of the channeler's past-lives, giving it a friendly attitude towards the channeler. It has detailed knowledge of the location as it was then but no knowledge of recent events. This replaces location channel.

Improved Uncanny Dodge (Su)

At 7th level, the channeler's ancestor spirits run interference for him in combat. He can no longer be flanked. This defense denies the ability to sneak attack the character by flanking her, unless the attacker has at least four more levels in classes than grant sneak attack than the target does in classes that grant uncanny dodge. This replaces connection channel.

Council of Past Lives (Sp)

At 13th level, a past-life channeler can send themselves into a mindscape in order to commune with their past selves. This functions similarly to ask the spirits, but takes them to a mindscape instead of the Astral Plane. This modifies ask the spirits.

Promise of Renewal (Sp)

At 18th level, a past-life channeler gains the ability to automatically return from the dead in a new form. When a past-life channeler dies and his corpse is not destroyed (as by disintegrate), he receives an reincarnate spell one minute after death. The new form appears next to the corpse and awakens after one hour with their spells and hit points fully refreshed but retaining all other effects and conditions (except death). If the reincarnated channeler has as many negative levels as his Hit Dice, he instead returns as an ecorcheB3 under the GMs control, using the wear skin ability to masquerade as the past-life channeler. This replaces spacious soul.
