Lashers come in two varieties. One is the cruel slave-drivers of House Asamet, bullies who use the whip to enforce their dominance. But a resistance movement among just this kind of oppressed people have grown up in the shadows, also using the whip as their symbol and weapon. A few masters disassociate themselves from both these groups, insisting that the whip is a weapon to be mastered like any other. So now lashers meeting anywhere in the empire do not know if their encounters will just end with barbs and jests, or in deadly violence.
Whip Ruling: The Whip (in all it's varieties) is considered a throwing weapon, not a missile weapon.
