Heroic Action Role-Play

This is a Method for using Powers in Action. Methods are a part of Traditions and define how Powers are used in each campaign.

Attention

You use technical or arcane language to focus your power. This can be the language of the gods, spirits, dragons, ancient times. Or it can be mathematical formulae, geometric expressions, or professional jargon that is so extreme that it is incomprehensible to outsiders.

Limitation

When using powers, you are restricted to using a special jargon related to your tradition. This prevents you from communicating in normal language when you are using powers, but you can speak freely inbetween. You must also be able to mouth the words, tough you don't need to speak especially loud.

Focus Condition

Focus

By focusing on your power and the jargon associated with that for a round, from the start of the round until you perform your Limit Break (or the end of the round if you don't use a Limit Break), you can focus. This does not allow you to communicate with anyone else. This mainly applies to the character using the power, but the player should also limit communication with the other players. If using a power that facilitates or requires communication, such as the various charm powers, you can communicate as required for the power to work.
