Jersey Jacks

Wings of Honor

An air militia of the Empire State, this is a New Jersey outfit. Taking the four jacks of a suit of cards as their symbol, the militia has four squadrons, one for each suit. The name also alludes to the outfit's general down-to-earth, "Ordinary Jack" profile.

They fly mostly Avengers, and are neither as fancy or as well-equipped as use have the blue-and-yellow markings of the Empire State, with their own distinctive card emblem.

The Jacks envy the high-flying lifestyle of the Broadway Bombers, but have managed to build quite a reputation for themselves. The recent shift in policy towards defense against Dixie has also benefited the Jacks.

1st Squadron, the Jack of Spades – based in Jersey City, this is the core of the unit, with several veterans of the Great War in it's ranks. It is also the home of Rex Reason.

2nd Squadron, the Jack of Hearts – based in Atlantic City, this is a naval patrol unit assigned to patrolling the coasts of New Jersey.

3rd Squadron, the Jack of Diamonds – recently relocated to Camden after some rivalry with the Broadway Bombers (officially to "protect our southern border", the diamonds now patrol mostly over Philadelphia, supplementing the almost nonexistent East Penn Militia.

4th Squadron, the Jack of Clubs – based in Jersey City along with the Spades, this is a training outfit for young pilots.

Heroic accomplishments by their ace pilot Rex Reason is one of the reasons the "jacks" are now accorded some respect when they fly the skies of Manhattan.
