Hot Spell (Metamagic)

You can increase the level cap on your spells.

Benefit: Increase the cap on the maximum amount of damage your spell can do by five dice. Increase the limit on any spellcasting level based bonus in the spell by ten. A hot spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell’s actual level. You can apply this feat several times to the same spell, with cumulative cost and benefit.

Example: A Hot Fireball takes a level 5 spell slot and has a damage cap of 15 dice. A Hot Dispel Magic takes a level 5 spell slot and has a cap on the dispel check of +20. A Hot Cure Light Wounds takes a third level spell slot and can heal up to 1d8+15 hit points.
