A hinged pole; the lose end can be a ball, club, or flanged mace. The hinge is usually made of chain or steel joint, but primitive versions can use rope or sinews instead. Used as a threshing tool in agricultural societies. Also known as the horseman's flail, nunchaku, morning star, or ball and chain.

Great Flail

A two-handed flail, this is more common as threshing tool and will thus attract less attention.
