Class Information
This is a animist archetype.
Hit Dice: d8.
Class Features
The familiar animist has all the standard animist’s class features, except as noted below.
Companion Guide
A familiar animist chooses either a familiar or animal companion as a guide, treating her class level as her wizard or druid level for the purpose of this ability. If the companion guide is slain, the companion animist gains the regular animist's spirit guide ability until she replaces her companion guide.
This replaces the spirit guide, guide concentration, and guide walk abilities
Guide Development
The the companion guide gains new supernatural acuity at level 7. This has a different effect depending on what for the companion guide takes.
An animal companion gains an +2 bonus to Intelligence and the ability to speak one language the animist speaks, usually common. The animal companion gains a +1 bonus to Intelligence for every two class levels after level 7.
A companion animist with a familiar can choose between gaining Improved Familiar as a bonus feat or to give his familiar the ability to cast invisibility on itself at will as a spell-like ability at the animist's spellcaster level.
