Sometimes the cost of being talented is higher than usual. Mythology is full of artists who are handicapped, all the way from Homer. The blighted bard operates under a curse or disability, and as a result is often forced to live as a beggar or vagrant.

This is a bard and skald archetype operating under an oracle's curse.

This archetype has all normal class features, except as noted.

Weapon Proficiency

A blighted bard is proficient with all simple weapons and the ankus^{^{^MTT}}, boarding gaff^{^{^PIS}}, grappling hook^{^{^PCP}}, greatclub, kukri, ogre hook^{^{^ISWG}}, planson^{^{^MTT}}, and sap. A blighted skald has her normal weapon proficiencies.

Bard's Blight

A blighted bard suffers under an oracle's curse. See also Apath oracle's curses. All references to the oracle class, spell list, or levels instead apply to the blighted bard equivalent. This replaces all the abilities of the jack of all trades class feature for the bard and the improved uncanny dodge and song of the fallen abilities of the skald.
