Unofficial rules compendium | |
|
The companion shaman has a guardian spirit that takes the form of a material creature companion.
Class Features
The familiar shaman has all the standard shaman’s class features, except as noted below.
Companion Guide
A familiar shaman chooses either the familiar or animal companion as a guide, treating her companion shaman level as her wizard or druid level for the purpose of this ability. If the companion guide is slain, the companion shaman gains the regular shaman's spirit guide ability until she places her companion guide.
This replaces the spirit guide, guide concentration, guide walk, and spirit loyalty abilities
Guide Development
The the companion guide gains new supernatural acuity at level 4. This has a different effect depending on what for the companion guide takes.
An animal companion gains an +2 bonus to Intelligence and the ability to speak one language the shaman speaks, usually common. The animal companion gains a +2 bonus to Intelligence for every four class levels after level 4.
A companion shaman with a familiar can choose between Improved Familiar or Evolved Familiar as a bonus feat, ignoring the prerequisites for the feats, but not for their benefits. If the companion shaman chooses Evolved Familiar he gains the benefit again at level 10.
This replaces ghost body and ghost warrior.
