You are never surprised by creatures. Traps can still get the drop on you, but you can always act in a surprise round when hostile creatures are involved.

Killing Pace

Killing Pace

Basic Action

Move three times your Move. In a long-distance chase or march you gain +1 Move, but if you maintain this pace a number of minutes equal to your Body, you take one Hit. If this is your last hit, you take a Damage Setback.

Play

Play

Trigger Action (Combo)

You can mix social and physical interactions. When you succeed on a Charm, Impress, or Melee roll against a single creature you are adjacent to, you can use this schtick to immediately make an opposed roll using another of these three skills: an opposed Charm or Impress roll or Melee roll against Dodge. If you succeed the target loses 3 shots.

Description

Anthropomorphic dogs are friendly and reliable guardians.

Appearance

Anthropomorphic dogs, they have dog heads, fur, paws, and tails but are otherwise very human-like. They are built much like humans. Their fur has a wide range of colors, from honey-blond over brown to black; white or speckled Dogs are common. Their eyes are large and generally of a pale color; brown, blue, yellow, amber, or gray are common.

Role

Dogs are reliable and trustworthy, good friends and companions. Dogs rarely take leadership roles, but when they do they are uncompromising and expect as much of their underlings as they themselves are ready to give.

Politics

Dogs crowd to loyalist and patriot causes; they will support their country and neighbors, good or bad. Dogs integrate so well that they rarely have nations of their won, but a Dog nation would be a fearful thing, givng a new meaning to Right or wrong, My country!.
