Heroic Action Role-Play |
Cover in action gives an effective Dodge rating - it is not additive. This means it is a tactic for the unskilled - skilled fighters have better Dodge than all but the heaviest cover. It can offer a significant advantage in combat among mooks.
Amount of Cover | Examples | Dodge rating |
Flimsy cover | Lying down on a flat lawn or road, flimsy cover such like brush or cloth | 10 |
Soft cover | Lying down in terrain, partially covered, or in soft cover | 13 |
Hard cover | Behind wall or corner, looking out of a foxhole | 15 |
Full cover | Entrenched, behind small window in strong wall | 18 |
Fortified | Gun port, arrow slit, bunker | 21 |
Hidden | Only ricochets possible | 24 |
