It you score an Outcome matching the target's [[Reflexes (Action)|Reflexes]], you also inflict a [[Setback (Action)|Setback]]; the target suffers some direct penalty, as appropriate to the situation and how you described your outmaneuver. He might drop his weapon, fall over a cliff, temporarily show off his unarmored flank and so on.

Sneak

Stance

You can use Maneuver to sneak about unnoticed. Each of the following alert conditions help people notice you. Check this each time you move or take an action or when a condition changes.

  • Make a move.
  • Do a double move or draw attention to yourself. This can be an attack or obvious action.
  • Be out of concealment. Concealment can be darkness (unless your quarry can see in the dark or has some other exceptional sense) or actual physical cover.
  • Be within Spot meters from observers.
  • Fail a Maneuver roll opposed by Spot.
  • Add one for each clue the observers have.

Count the number of alert conditions:

Alerts Result
1 You remain hidden
2-3 Watchers are alerted, but fail to spot you. They gain a clue to your location.
4+ You are spotted.

It is possible to use tricks and stunts to mislead observers, making them lose clues. They also lose one clue at the end of each round.

Sneak v2

Basic Action

You can use Maneuver to sneak about unnoticed. Make a Maneuver roll and compare it against the Spot rating of each observer.

Once you have succeeded at this you are assumed to be under cover and hiding, you need not make additional Sneak rolls unless you want to move about, and you can do other actions as long as you remain where you are and still be hidden.

Outmaneuver

Basic Action

You use this is combat to get a momentary advantage. It represents such maneuvers as outflanking, getting a height advantage, and causing someone to stumble. The roll will be heavily modified depending on how well you describe your stunt and use available props.

Make an opposed Maneuver roll against your target. If you succeed, add the Outcome as a modifier to your next skill roll against this target. You can also give away this advantage to someone else, effectively setting the target up for someone else's attack.

It you score an Outcome matching the target's Reflexes, you also inflict a Setback; the target suffers some direct penalty, as appropriate to the situation and how you described your outmaneuver. He might drop his weapon, fall over a cliff, temporarily show off his unarmored flank and so on.
