The Anumus can be used for other furries of Nippon, but with a different background. Those most fitting for Nippon are:
- Avian - Raptors
- Canine - Dogs and wolves
- Equine - Horses
- Feline - Great cats
- Ophidian - Constrictor snakes
- Porcine - Boars and pigs
- Reptile - Lizards
- Ursine - Bears
