This is the Bear schtick of the same name, Feng Shui, p. 132.

Use this power when you have reached 30 or more Wound points. You may forego making a Death Test until the end of the fight. Each time you receive more Wound Points during the fight, you must use Fortitude again or immediately make a Death Test.

After any fight in which you have used Fortitude, you must make an immediate Death Test.
