Honest Joe

This is the Karate Cop unique schtick #1, the leadership schtick (Feng Shui, p 51). This schtick generally requires a straightforward, honest, perhaps somewhat naive, hero.

You have a way with people, and inspire trust and confidence. Any basically good and law-abiding people gladly give you a hand, though there must be a reason if they are to accept discomfort or danger to help you. Sometimes, you can even inspire this trust in minor goons and lesser villains, but usually only after you have soundly trounced them.
